Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare all food items in accordance with established menus and recipes.
• Serve meals to students.
• Wash and sanitize all dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including all commercial equipment.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inventory of food and supplies.
• Conduct shopping for ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Participate in events that require cooking and serving.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Current food safety certification or the ability to obtain one prior to handling food.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic nutrition principles.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting items up to 50 pounds.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to cook is required.
• Openness to assist with additional tasks as they arise.
