Steelbridge - Residential Program Live-in Caretaker

Responsibilities:

Daily Living Assistance:

  • Provide assistance in daily living tasks for residents.
  • Offer personal care and support to meet individual needs.

Safety and Welfare:

  • Ensure the personal safety and welfare of clients in a residential setting.
  • Serve as an effective role model for residents.

Goal Management:

  • Act as a goal manager, documenting individual achievements toward developmental goals.

Health Maintenance:

  • Assist clients with health maintenance based on individual needs.
  • Accurately administer medications as directed/trained.
  • Assess individuals and provide assistance with health and safety concerns.
  • Arrange medical and psychological services for residents.

Emergency Response:

  • React promptly and take the lead during emergency situations concerning clients.

Transportation and Meal Preparation:

  • Assist with transportation for residents.
  • Contribute to daily meal preparation.

Therapy Support:

  • Assist with therapy scheduling and attendance.
  • Coordinate group classes, individual sessions, and various therapy classes.

Individual Rights and Confidentiality:

  • Understand and respect the rights of each individual.
  • Maintain confidentiality for each resident.
  • Encourage individuals to exercise their rights.
  • Enhance personal decision-making and promote self-esteem.
  • Ensure the protection of individuals from abuse and neglect.

Other Duties:

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High moral character and unconditionally trustworthy.
  • Patience, good communication skills, good judgment, math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and the rights of individuals.

Availability:

  • Must have flexibility in days and hours for scheduled work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You will be required to live on site for 5 days per week, separate room will be provided.

Compliance:

  • Ability to adhere to the Steelbridge Employee handbook and HIPAA policies.
