Part-Time Funeral and Event Setup Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Funeral and Event Setup Assistant. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in preparing for funeral services, events, and receptions. The ideal candidate will exhibit a caring demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently in a sensitive environment.

Primary Duties:

• Assist the funeral director by arranging flowers, preparing photo displays, and managing guest books.
• Support the funeral coordinator in setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, and displays for funerals and receptions.
• Maintain cleanliness of restroom facilities and the main foyer, and vacuum the auditorium as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.             

Secondary Duties:

• Assist in setting up for Church events and classes during non-funeral weeks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
